Reattach the two hoses to the ports on the drain pump and secure them using the retaining clamps. Plug the wire connector back to the drain pump assembly. Once the drain pump has been cleaned, mount it back on the machine and apply the bolts with your nut-driver. Using a screwdriver, clean out any debris and lint that may be clogging the two ports on the drain pump. Remove the drain pump from the machine and take it to a sink. Using a 5/16 inch nut-driver, loosen the nuts securing the drain pump to the bottom of the machine. Unplug the wire connector attached to the pump assembly.
Pull both hoses off the pump (some water will spill, so ensure that you have a rag nearby). Using a pair of pliers, release the spring clamps on the two hoses attached to the drain pump.
